Dissertations and essays proofread

Hello, my name is Mustafa. I used to be a struggling student. I have ADHD, and struggled to achieve well at school and University.

I also spent hours and hours working hard to improve as a student. I was under immense pressure to get good grades. Yet no matter how hard I worked, my grades were low.

I kept trying. I did everything in my power, I stayed up, I cut out “time-wasting” activities, and tried to focus.

I even tied myself to my chair to force myself to sit and study even harder.

My hard work meant nothing.

What was especially painful for me were my essays. I could spend weeks on an essay, and it wouldn’t matter. Poor grade. The feedback wasn’t helpful either.

I eventually realised that you can’t brute force academics. No matter what part, be it academics, essay writing, exams, or dissertations. Brute force alone simply doesn’t work.

I had to find methods that worked for me.

I had to play to my strenghts. I had to be time efficient.

I had to find my Flow.

Flash forward 10 years, and I now have two Master’s degrees and graduated top of my class in both my MA and LLM. I won awards. I even wrote essays that got 100%, and Professors encouraged me to publish my work.

Here’s the interesting part.

Writing these essays? Being a successful student?

It didn’t take me much time at all.

That’s right. The point I was the most successful was the point where I was working the least.

That’s because I found my flow.

My success is not the reason I became a full-time tutor. I became a tutor because while I figured things out, others didn’t.

I saw everyone else suffer, putting in hours of their life for their academics.

I saw students sacrifice time with their family and friends.

I saw students sacrifice their mental and physical health.

Most of all, I saw their faces when they saw that their hard work didn’t lead to expected results. I even saw students repeat years and give up.

But that’s not all. I saw them try to hire tutors or try to speak to teachers or professors. The help they received tried to teach them the curriculum or explain certain concepts.

I knew that wouldn’t work. They were giving them a fish, instead of teaching them how to fish.

They weren’t addressing the root problem.

I then decided to take a risk, turned down various job opportunities, and focused on becoming a full-time tutor and advisor. I used the principles that worked for me, and tried to see if it would help others.

That was 2 years ago.

Since then, I’ve tutored hundreds of students across the globe. I’ve proofread more essays and dissertations that I can count, I’ve coached students across a large variety of subjects, and started working on my mission.

My mission is simple. I want to ensure every student on the planet finds their greatest, lifelong asset.

Their flow.

Yes, time is your greatest asset.

But if you could make sure your skills are developed enough to achieve your goals AND get back your time, wouldn’t that be even more valuable?

I work every day to achieve this mission. I want to ensure that there is an armada of efficient tutors that teach students ‘how to fish’.

Once that’s done, and the Flowstate brand is large enough, I want to use the experience of the armada of tutors to achieve educational reform both in the UK and globally.

Currently, the Flowstate team is myself and a handful of significant partners, tutors and experts. Until the Flowstate brand grows, we work hard every day to ensure that students are empowered, and closer to finding their flow, one lesson at a time.

Empowering Students, One Lesson at a Time.

Academic and Legal writing I Academic skills coaching

Are you struggling with academic writing? Are you not getting sufficient feedback or guidance? Do you feel overwhelmed by academic writing, struggling to balance it with other commitments? Do you want to improve your essay writing skills and secure higher grades?

If so, I may be able to help.

I understand that most Pre-University and University students struggle with essay writing and academic writing.

I understand that there is a lack of guidance provided in this matter, and that most students attain underwhelming grades not because they do not have good ideas, but because they have not been taught how to articulate them.

I also struggled. My professors never gave me useful feedback. I had to learn how to take my legal essays to the next level on my own. After spending years studying other successful essays and experimenting, I finally mastered the craft.

I ended up with a First-class MA and an LLM with distinction. I graduated top of my class and received the Frank Bealey Prize for Highest Honours Grades (the Valedictorian award).

I'm proud to say that I'm the only student to achieve full marks (100%) in my cohort, in essay-based exams, which is a testament to my expertise in academic writing. For context, anything above 70% is a First-Class level, anything above 80% is publishable, and most Universities refuse to give above 85%. I was receiving 80’s and 90’s consistently in my essays in the final two years. I am currently working to publish my academic work.

"However, academic achievement alone is not enough. How do you know if you would be able to train me and coach me, so that I would be able to achieve the same?"

I have decided to work full-time in training students in academic writing until I begin my PhD. Over the past three years, I have helped numerous students enhance their writing skills and achieve their academic goals. My teaching approach is personalized, catering to each student's unique needs, learning style, and strengths. Whether you're struggling with a specific assignment or seeking to improve your overall writing skills, I'm here to help. Students have had success in their LLM Essays and Dissertations, PhD's, Undergraduate dissertations, essays, and writing across the board. For more information, please see my reviews below.

What sets me apart as a writing tutor, and what has allowed me to stand out in terms of my student's results, is my dedication to helping you succeed. I genuinely care about your academic interests and goals, both short-term and long-term. Whether you need help with a specific assignment or want to improve your overall writing skills, I am here to guide you every step of the way. I am specialised in ensuring that you are trained to the highest levels of academic writing, starting with the fundamentals.

My specialties include proofreading written work to ensure that your writing is of the highest quality. I am most familiar with the GCSE, A-level, IB, and undergraduate curriculums. I can help you with anything from grammar and punctuation to structure, style, and content.

If you are looking for a highly qualified writing coach with a proven track record of success, look no further. Book your first session with me today, and let's work together to unlock your full potential as a writer and achieve the academic success you deserve.

My personal background

With a First-class MA and an LLM with a distinction, I graduated top of my class and received the Frank Bealey Prize for highest honours grades. I'm proud to say that I'm the only student to achieve full marks in essay-based exams, which is a testament to my expertise in academic study skills and academic writing. I am also currently working on publishing my dissertations in the International Journal of Conflict and Violence.

The main point of pride for me, however, is that I did not spend my University life studying and slaving away. I was part of several societies, was President of a Climate Network, a Union Representative, and even appeared on News outlets. I still had time to relax with my friends and have fun! I was efficient at studying and did not need to spend my life at a desk.

I was also not always an efficient student. I suffer from ADHD, and had to work very hard before finding strategies that worked for me and worked for me. Many teachers stated that I would never get into university. These same teachers now congratulate me on my achievements. Success is possible for anyone. It’s just a matter of finding your flow.

Other subjects covered:

  • Turn weeks of struggle into minutes of clarity and efficiency.

I train, coach, and mentor ambitious, hardworking students to achieve their academic targets and help them develop a toolkit for success in both their academic and professional journeys.

Are you struggling with academics? Feel like you're putting in weeks of your life with no results? Do you need advice, guidance, or mentoring with specific subjects? Do you want to secure higher grades while maintaining a good balance in your life?

In the current academic climate, hard work alone is not enough. Students navigate their studies with nothing but a 'word hard' approach. When this does not translate into results, this reflects poorly on self-esteem.

Every individual is also different. Most students will study with a lack of self-awareness of their own strengths and weaknesses, and will not take the time to self-reflect. Students are also not taught to be efficient scholars.

Everyone's learning can be made more efficient. Everyone can save time. Whether it's academic writing, motivation, discipline, or subject-specific material, I'm here to guide you on this journey.

I have ensured that hundreds of students adopt more efficient study skills, reach their academic potential and ultimately become more efficient students. They have saved time that otherwise would have been spent struggling and instead working efficiently, minimising time sunk into "hard work" that leads to uncertain grades.

My goal is not only to improve your grades but to teach you techniques and skills that you can use for the rest of your academic and professional life.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my dedication to helping you succeed. I genuinely care about your academic interests and goals, both short-term and long-term. Whether you need help with a specific assignment or want to improve your overall writing skills, I am here to guide you every step of the way.

My specialties include Law, Politics, Sociology, English Language and Literature, and essay writing. I also assist with proofreading and editing written work to ensure that your writing is of the highest quality. I am most familiar with the GCSE, A-level, IB, and undergraduate curriculums.

I also specialise in academic writing across all levels. I am currently writing a textbook for academic writing, with visual materials that I am happy to share with my students. I myself attained 100% marks in fully essay-based University exams. I have assisted Ph.D. students with their theses in fields such as Arbitration, Finance, Law, Politics, Microbiology, and Literature. I am also currently in the process of publishing my undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations in academic journals. Feel free to inquire for more details!

  • Many students find themselves lost during their research projects. Planning, structuring, researching, and writing a dissertation is completely different from writing a regular essay. Moreover, students do not receive adequate guidance from Universities in terms of how to research, plan, and write their thesis. I help ambitious students who feel lost and stuck in their dissertation writing process gain clarity and efficiency. I have coached many students during their dissertation projects, allowing them to gain clarity and efficiency in research methods, structuring, writing, and planning the dissertation. Students writing their PhD's, LLM's, MA's, BA's or BSc's (or even the IB extended essay!) can all benefit from a fresh perspective and informed guidance and advice.

  • In my Politics tutoring, I delve into the intricacies of government systems, political ideologies, and global affairs. Through thought-provoking discussions and case studies, I encourage students to critically analyze political events and develop their own informed perspectives. I focus on strengthening their understanding of key concepts, honing their research and writing skills, and fostering a deep appreciation for the impact of politics on society. My First-Class MA in Politics and International Relations qualifies me to teach this subject.

  • In my Philosophy tutoring, I engage students in profound philosophical inquiries and debates to ensure a solid foundation before progressing into essays. Together, we explore philosophical theories, ethical dilemmas, and the nature of knowledge and existence. Through stimulating discussions and careful analysis of philosophical texts, I encourage students to develop logical reasoning, critical thinking, and articulate their own philosophical arguments. I aim to ignite their passion for intellectual exploration and nurture a philosophical mindset. I have successfully completed SCQF Level 8 Philosophy courses, which qualifies me to teach this subject.

  • In my Psychology tutoring sessions, I aim to assist students through interactive activities, case studies, and discussions. I help students comprehend psychological concepts, theories, and research methods. I emphasize critical thinking, analysis of psychological phenomena, and the application of psychological principles in real-life scenarios. By exploring various psychological perspectives, students gain insights into human behavior and develop a solid foundation in Psychology. I have successfully completed SCQF Level 8 Psychology courses, which qualifies me to teach this subject.

  • In my Law tutoring sessions, I delve into the intricate legal frameworks and principles that govern society across multiple levels of analysis. Through case studies, discussions, and analysis of legal texts, I help students develop a strong foundation in legal reasoning and analysis. I emphasize critical thinking, legal research, and effective legal writing. By exploring different areas of law, students gain an edge by honing their skills in order to ultimately excel in their legal studies and future legal careers. I have successfully completed a Law Master's LLM in International Law, Security and Strategic Studies, which qualifies me to teach this subject.

  • When it comes to personal statements, I offer comprehensive support and guidance to students aiming to make a strong impression on admissions committees. Drawing from my own experience of securing five acceptances and my knowledge of successful personal statement structures, I assist students in crafting compelling narratives that showcase their unique qualities, experiences, and aspirations. Through one-on-one sessions, I help students highlight their academic achievements, extracurricular involvement, and personal growth, ensuring their personal statements resonate with university admissions. My proven track record includes assisting students who have received offers from esteemed institutions such as Royal Holloway, Goldsmiths, Queen Mary's, Essex, and other Russell Group universities. With my expertise, you can confidently navigate the personal statement process and increase your chances of securing admission to your desired university.
